In short
- We only ask for what we need to reply and quote.
- Enquiries are shared only with the team who quotes for and does the work.
- Enquiry details are deleted after a year unless you become a customer.
- No analytics, ad cookies or tracking on this site.
The information you give us
The quote form asks for your name, the postcode where the work is, a phone number or email address, and details of the job: what you need, the kitchen layout, which floor it is on, the stone you like, when you want it done, rough sizes and any notes. We also see which page you sent it from.
Emails reach us with your address and any photos or drawings you attach. On a phone call we write down your name, number and what you say about the job. Please leave health or other sensitive details out of your notes.
What it is used for
Replying to you, going through the job, sending a quote and, if you decide to go ahead, doing the work. The legal basis is legitimate interest (you asked us to get in touch) and steps taken at your request before any contract.
Who handles it
Enquiries are shared only with the team who quotes for and does the work. Behind the scenes, a few service providers handle the data for us: Cloudflare runs the website and relays the form, an automation tool receives each enquiry, a spreadsheet holds it and an email service lets us know it has arrived. Where any of these process data outside the UK, they do so under the protections UK data protection law sets. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for marketing.
How long it is kept
One year from your enquiry, then deleted. If you become a customer, we keep the records the job needs, including any aftercare.
Tracking
None. There are no analytics tools, advertising cookies or pixels, and the fonts load from this site rather than a third party. Cloudflare may apply strictly necessary security checks. Pages we link to, such as council or manufacturer sites, have their own privacy notices.
Asking about your data
You can find out what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. To do any of these, email info@stoneworktopsbarnet.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
